The Best Investment Bank on Wall Street

5.0 of 5 stars

March 2019 | CURRENT EMPLOYEE

Uppers

Centerview, by far, is the best investment bank on Wall Street several reasons:
1. Access / Opportunity to work with the brightest partners and on the largest transactions across multiple industries
2. The best culture - people here are collegial, want to invest in your growth, and are incredible to work with. No bureaucratic nonsense and no "face-time."
3. Pay is far above street (arguably the best)
Take this from someone who has friends across many banks (Goldman, Lazard, Greenhill, Morgan Stanley) - I've had far better experiences.

In fact, I enjoy going to work every Monday!

Downers

Not much here - only thing is that it's a three year analyst program so depending on how you look at it, it is positive or negative.

Advice to Candidates

If you want to have a career in investment banking, there's no better place.

The differentiated work we do is never boring, and working with smart, fun people makes it easy to come to work in the morning.

Downers

The unpredictability -- but that's life in a client services firm.

Advice to Candidates

Centerview should be considered as a differentiated option in banking. They provide a general business education, and it is clear they will be the talent factory of the next decade. Centerview should be considered not just alongside other banks, but alongside other best-in-class employers in other career paths (consulting, startups).
