Life at CapTech

You’re more than just a number at CapTech. Our consultants get the “big firm” experience without getting lost in the crowd. We promote a work hard, play hard culture and strive to build a sense of camaraderie and belonging amongst our employees. Our people are our greatest assets, and we do everything we can to support their professional and personal growth.

Inclusion and Diversity

At CapTech’s core is the belief that employees are more than the services they provide to their employer and its clients. We embrace the rich and diverse backgrounds that make each of us unique – our passions, cultures, perspectives and identities.

We understand that different thoughts, opinions, and life experiences do not just benefit our teams – they lead to innovation, creativity, and better results for our clients. As we cultivate diversity, we continually try to understand and enhance what diversity means for our employees, our clients and the success of CapTech. Learn more on our website.

Culture

People Matter

CapTech was founded as an alternative to the traditional, Big Four consulting firms. The goal from day one was to create the best firm to work for and work with, where work/life balance is a cornerstone, and there is an emphasis on having a ‘live where you work’ model coupled with a family atmosphere. Twenty years later, 40-hour work weeks are contracted in our statements of work and consultant travel preferences are honored.

Flat Organizational Structure

We are a relatively flat organization with less emphasis on levels or stature and more emphasis on each consultant's ability and interest to make positive impacts to our business. New ideas are welcomed whether you are a director with 20 years of experience or a new consultant that recently graduated from college. All of our consultants have the ability to make positive impacts on our business that you can measure and see.

These positive impacts could be something as simple as an introduction that leads to a new business relationship or a team of consultants building a Natural Language Processing or other prototype with which we can go to market and elevate our clients. The idea is that our doors at every level are always open. If someone has an idea or suggestion, they know who they can talk to and, most importantly, they know that they have access to that person.

Work/Life Balance

Our culture offers challenging and meaningful work, career development, and a fun environment. In an industry that requires life on the road, CapTechers live where they work—unless they want to travel. We offer that too.

CapTechers get connected through activities like: Happy hours, Segway tours, tacky sweater bowling, deep-sea fishing, paint ball games, scavenger hunts, and cooking classes. Company meetings and company-sponsored events allow employees to get to know each other and build camaraderie.

We also encourage a healthy lifestyle by supporting their involvement in team sports, local area 10k's, marathons, charity walks, and fun runs.

Core Values

We take our core values seriously. We strive to serve as trusted advisors to both our clients and each other. We believe in servant leadership - lifting those around us and empowering our clients' success. We are flexible and bring unparalleled enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to every engagement.

We believe one of the reasons we have such longevity with our clients is that we partner with them to truly deliver value to their organizations and look to make them as successful as possible - all while having a little bit of fun. Learn more on our website

Development

The technology landscape is constantly evolving. As a consulting firm rooted in delivering best-in-class technology solutions, we must consistently re-evaluate our services and understand emerging technologies, as well as build the skills and talent to meet our clients’ changing needs. Talent development is at the core of our business. Our people are our foundation, and we have to invest in them and their development to be successful and succeed for our clients.

To offer our consultants the opportunity to diversify their skills and gain exposure to emerging technologies, we have launched internal Innovation Tech Challenge competitions as a complement to our existing mentoring, training, and development programs.

The Innovation Tech Challenges are available to anyone, at any level of our organization. Diverse teams of various skill sets and skill levels across all technical practice areas come together to collaborate on innovative solutions developing next-generation technologies and capabilities. Teams include project managers, technical leads, developers, and subject matter experts.

Commitment to Community

CapTech is committed to corporate social responsibility.

Our core value of servant leadership translates to empowering others by putting their needs first. This permeates our organization and the way we impact each other, our clients, and our community.

Working together with our clients and partners, we are committed to improving the communities we serve through volunteerism, mentoring, and financial support.

Our pro bono services allow CapTech to leverage the unique creative and technical talent of our people to make a positive change for our partners.
