&lt;p&gt;Sustainability is something of a buzz word at business schools these days.  Students are displaying increased interest in classes, clubs and programs like Climate Corps; plus, with increased government funding for sustainability education, schools are bulking up their programs to take advantage of the federal grants.  To see which schools are already putting their money where their mouth is, the Aspen Institute offers its biannual Beyond Grey Pinstripes (BGP) list of the top 100 MBA programs in sustainability and environmental education.  &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The BGP ranking &quot;spotlights innovative full-time MBA programs leading the way in the integration of issues concerning social and environmental stewardship into the curriculum.&quot;  The international ranking focuses on the availability of relevant course offerings, student exposure to social, environmental or ethical content, for-profit impact of that course work (i.e., a class on how to implement green programs into an existing company) and faculty research.  BGP&#39;s survey methodology is designed to rank schools by the following questions: &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;i&gt;How much opportunity do students have to take courses with this content?&lt;li&gt;To what extent are students actually exposed to such content?&lt;li&gt;Do any of the courses being taught on campus explicitly discuss how business can be an engine for improving social and environmental conditions?&lt;li&gt;To what extent do professors on campus explore these issues in their own research?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Interestingly, the Global 100 is a very diverse list of MBA programs: a mix of public and private business schools, located in urban and rural areas.  Though most are from the United States, the No. 1 school (Schulich School of Business) is located in Canada and the No. 7 and No. 9 schools are in Europe.  Just goes to show any school can have a great sustainability curriculum.
