Which of These Law School Graduation Speakers Doesn't Belong
Published: May 10, 2011
Had you attended law school at New Mexico this year, your graduation speaker would be U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan. Had it been Hofstra, words of commencement would be given by New York’s attorney general Eric Schneiderman, who is also speaking at Cardozo. Virginia gets Eric Holder, Northwestern, John Paul Stevens. And who does Harvard get?
Maybe it's not that strange? Baldwin has said before that, if not for his acting success, he had wanted to become a lawyer--though he did have doubts, telling a class of Fordham law students last year: "I didn't know if I wanted to join a field that was becoming as crowded and choked as law was." And he did play a lawyer in at least two movies!
