Topping the charts

Last week, Fortune announced the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Claiming the No. 1 spot for the second year in a row was Google (surprise, surprise). Consulting had a respectable showing, with Cisco coming in at No. 6, BCG at No. 11, Ernst & Young at 57, KPMG at 71, Booz Allen at 81, PwC at 90, Deloitte at 95, and SRA International bringing up the rear at No. 99.
BCG and Cisco made the 25 top-paying companies list, and PwC was named on the unusual perks list - last summer, all 5,000 of the firm's consulting arm were flown down to Orlando for a weeklong training session and were showered with freebies, including free iPod shuffles. Not too shabby. KPMG also made the unusual perks list for offering five weeks of vacation per year, even to first-year employees.
My favorite part of the rankings: the perk-finder. If only choosing a new job were that simple.
Sadly, was no consulting representation in the best places to work and play list. I'm sure somewhere there must be a consulting equivalent to the rockin' lawyers of Perkins Coie.
Any word on a Consultantpalooza? Or any interest in starting one?
