&lt;p&gt;Northern Trust announced a new executive position reporting directly to CEO Frederick Waddell: Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. Connie Lindsey,&#160;who has served in several different positions in the CSR field, most recently was EVP and Segment Head in the Public Entities and Institution division with Northern Trust.&#160;She is also the highest ranking volunteer for the National Board of Girl Scouts of the USA as a Director. At Northern Trust, she will be responsible for crafting and leading the bank&#39;s corporate social responsibility strategies and initiatives.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The financial services company has been in the news lately for their increased efforts in CSR. They featured as &quot;Most Admired Company&quot; by &lt;em&gt;Fortune&lt;/em&gt; and was named &quot;100 Best Corporate Citizens&quot; by noted CSR publication, &lt;em&gt;CRO Magazine&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Northern Trust also features in Vault&#39;s Annual Diversity Survey this year for the first time.&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt; Stay tuned for the latest news on progress made by employers conscious of their social responsibility and diversity initiatives as we release our 2009 survey results tomorrow!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Questions or comments?
