Towards the end of your job interview it's typical for employers to ask if you have any questions for them. When this happens, the most important thing to do is actually ask questions. At the end of your interview, the tables are often turned, and you’re given the opportunity to ask questions. The most important thing to do at this time is to actually ask questions. At the end of your interview, you never want to say you don’t have any questions. Remember, you’re also seeing if this company is a good fit for you.
So, let’s go over some good questions you can use for your next interview.
The specific questions you ask will depend on what you value in an employer or workplace. This can range from career advancement to work-life balance.
If you’re focused on career development, your questions could look something like this.
Interviewer - “That’s all the questions we have for you. Do you have any questions for us?”
Me - “Yes. Does the company provide any formal or informal training and development opportunities?”
Or, if you really value a healthy workplace environment, your question could sound like this.
Me - “How would you describe the company’s workplace culture?”
And lastly, if you want to know if you would be successful in this role, you could ask this.
Me - “What are three qualities that your best employees possess?”
Of course, there are endless possibilities of what questions you can ask. Choose the ones that align with your values so you can be confident you’re making the right choice in an employer.
