In the current economic climate, a $40-an-hour career seems like a pipe dream, but if you're looking in the right industry, it's not as far out of reach as you might think. According to a new Yahoo! Hotjobs article, many companies across the country are hiring in growing fields. And hey, check it out -- the recession is over!*

Among the great (and lucrative) careers suggested by the article are Art Director, Geoscientist, Computer Software Engineer, Pharmacist (because the health care industry is still fine and dandy, thank you) and Mathematician, which is apparently "the best career in America right now." Many of these jobs can be obtained with just a bit of the right education and some career training. You've got the time -- the $40-an-hour payoff is certainly well worth it, right?
