No wonder it's hard for us to figure out where the economy is really headed: Even BusinessWeek and CNNMoney.com can't get their stories straight! According to the former, unemployment is up in 44 states; but if you swear by CNNMoney, the unemployment rate is down in 21 states. Hmm. Did we miss the memo about the 65 united states of America?
