Firm buries the lede
Published: Dec 13, 2007
Today at 2 p.m., The Mitchell Report on doping in baseball is set to be released and it promises to be a bombshell, with early reports suggesting that 60-80 names will be named.
The investigation was conducted out of the New York HQ of DLA Piper. George Mitchell is the firm's global chairman. So what is the lead story today on the DLA Piper web site's "Breaking News" section? The new Regional Managing Partner for Belgium!
Seriously.
Anyway, I'm sure once the report is made public, the problem will be settled once and for all, just as it happened with that last Mitchell Report.
UPDATE: To be fair, the firm did make it the site's top story starting after the afternoon press conference. But still.
