Herewith another sampling from our ongoing UK Solicitor/Associate Survey: a somewhat random selection of responses to the question “What is an interesting or little-known fact about your firm?”
Claims to fame
One of the partners was on Top of the Pops.
The building where our offices are was used as Cruella De Vil's palace in 101 Dalmatians.

It was founded on April Fool's Day.
Hidden talents
Richard Dedman has a great karaoke voice.
The senior partner loves fancy dress.
One of the male senior partners has taken up knitting.
Air guitar abilities—a strength.
The senior partner dresses up as a Christmas elf for Christmas drinks.

Partners make tea for assistants and trainees.
We get cream cakes when firm hits monthly targets.

What’s in a name?
One of the anagrams you can make from the name is Yell "Rave On!"
If you say it quickly it sounds like "ass hurts".
I don't think anyone really knows how “Debevoise” is pronounced, partners included.
Dechert shows up in spell checks as “dechet”—the French for rubbish bin.
The use of an ampersand between S and M is forbidden. Not that interesting but could probably only happen here.
