Job Overview
As a Test Engineering Team Lead, you will provide leadership and guidance to test engineering teams, enabling a fast-growing SaaS company to deliver high-quality products rapidly and reliably. This role requires experience in agile environments, modern testing practices, SaaS deployment models, automation frameworks, and enterprise-grade test strategies. You will drive quality engineering by combining technical expertise with people leadership through coaching and mentorship.
What you’ll do
<ul>
<li>Maintain a culture of continuous learning and improvement; empower teams to identify gaps, resolve obstacles, and learn from rapid iteration.</li>
<li>Work hands-on in automation frameworks, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines to guide teams by example and accelerate delivery.</li>
<li>Unblock automation engineers on automation initiatives and ensure they are ready to deliver effective, scalable, and maintainable solutions.</li>
<li>Define and evolve test strategies across functional, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing to support successful release delivery.</li>
<li>Ensure test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and quality gates are embedded into delivery, adhering to high-quality engineering principles.</li>
<li>Establish strong test data, environment management, and monitoring practices to support reliable and repeatable testing.</li>
<li>Collaborate with developers, product managers, and architects to plan, design, test, and validate scalable software solutions.</li>
<li>Partner with teams to continuously evolve quality engineering processes, tools, and frameworks.</li>
<li>Work with management to attract, grow, and retain skilled quality engineers, building high-performing, automation-first teams.</li>
<li>Create an environment of openness and transparency where metrics and facts drive decisions, fostering innovation and accountability.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to eliminate impediments, drive shift-left testing, and continuously improve Lean-Agile delivery practices.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with offshore teams, ensuring smooth communication, alignment, and delivery across time zones.</li>
<li>Drive delivery accountability across onshore and offshore engineers, ensuring goals are met with quality and predictability.</li>
</ul>
What we’re looking for
<ul>
<li>10+ years of experience in test engineering, quality assurance, or software engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.</li>
<li>Strong hands-on expertise in automation frameworks (UI, API, performance), scripting (C#,Java Python, or similar), and CI/CD integration.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of enterprise testing practices, quality engineering, and release readiness.</li>
<li>Experience with agile methodologies and driving quality in agile teams.</li>
<li>Familiarity with industry-leading test frameworks, tools, and technologies for functional, performance, security, and automation testing.</li>
<li>Experience with SaaS delivery models, cloud platforms, and test environment management.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to guide teams toward technical excellence and accountability.</li>

<li>Exceed monthly revenue and lead objectives focused on customer segment execution</li>
<li>Regional assignment requiring residency and travel within assigned region to establish relationships and get leads within region.</li>
<li>Provide a great buying experience for prospects, customers, and resellers</li>
<li>Utilize Salesforce.com and SalesLoft to manage leads, activity, and opportunities to close revenue and provide insight to leadership</li>
<li>Professionally represent AvidXchange and its offerings</li>
<li>Create customer excitement by showing customers how to use AvidXchange solutions</li>
<li>Support a team environment by sharing best practices and maintaining a winning mindset</li>
<li>Effectively prioritize and maximize call time and appointments to generate leads, advance the decision-making process, and close sales</li>

 What we're looking for:

<li>Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree, finance, business, economics, marketing, accounting, computer science, SaaS related 3+ years’ specific vertical experience</li>
<li>Experience in both inside and outside sales, preferably with a financial services firm, software and/or technology firm or related</li>
<li>Knowledge of accounting (AR/AP), accounting systems</li>
<li>Experience with automated accounts payable solutions and/or selling utilities solutions (preferred) </li>
<li>Competitive Knowledge of the AP Landscape (preferred)</li>
<li>Experience with Salesforce.com or other similar contact management solutions</li>
<li>Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.</li>
