About the Company
PepsiCo began with two great American snack companies: Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. In 1965, the CEOs Donald Kendall and Herman Lay saw what they called “a marriage made in heaven.” The companies merged, creating PepsiCo. PepsiCo’s main brands include Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker, Tropicana, and SodaStream. Twenty-three of the company's brands generate more than $1 billion in annual retail sales. PepsiCo has seven divisions: PepsiCo Beverages North America, Frito-Lay North America, Quaker Foods North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa Middle East South Asia (AMESA), and Asia Pacific Australia/New Zealand China (APAC). Quaker joined PepsiCo in 2001, expanding PepsiCo’s product offerings greatly. The international divisions of the company allow for global reach to nearly every continent.
