Fox Rothschild hasn’t let its strong and steady growth affect its small firm vibes. Despite employing over 1,000 attorneys in 30 offices, the firm still manages to foster a culture of “togetherness,” kindness, and respect. The firm does not limit hiring to T14 schools and casts a wider net to find the best candidates. Attorneys get along well at Fox Rothschild, and although socializing outside the office is not common, day-to-day interactions are social and pleasant. Work-life balance is incredibly important to Fox Rothschild attorneys, and associates appreciate feeling less pressure than is felt by their counterparts at many BigLaw peer firms....

Associate Reviews
- “Everyone works hard, but work is not our life. Work-life balance is a high priority, and people are respectful of your schedule and time. Not a lot of outside socialization, which is fine. Everyone is pleasant and kind, happy to work together. Staff is fantastic; we treat them as vital team members.”
- “Collegial, respectful, filled with a majority of wonderful people. Not just saying that. We have associate social events once a month, firm social events a few times a quarter, and it's all firm-sponsored. Staff are invited to most of these events. Day-to-day is also filled with nice interactions.”
- “Relaxed and friendly, but people do not usually socialize outside the office.”
- “Lawyers socialize occasionally in the office but rarely outside of the office (typically firm-sponsored). Day-to-day, people are focused on getting their work done and then going home.”
Diversity at Fox Rothschild
Getting Hired Here
- “The firm definitively looks at law school grades, prior work experience, and personality. The firm is not rigid about hiring from T14 schools only. The firm has training for those who interview candidates and guidelines to follow.”
- “The hiring process for a summer was a screener interview and then [four one-on-one interviews with attorneys]. The important factors the firm looks for are entrepreneurship and diversity of thought, experience, and background. Obviously, you need some threshold of experience and grades, but this firm looks for difference makers of all different backgrounds. The firm does a good job at finding good people with diverse backgrounds.”
- “The firm's hiring process is competitive; however, Fox seems to highly value qualities beyond school ranking or grades. Previous work experience and personality are important factors in the hiring process. There are no particular ‘feeder schools,’ but many students from Rutgers, Villanova, and the University of Delaware work in Fox's Philadelphia office.”
- “I think the firm is looking for candidates with good work ethic and social skills. My year had students from various law schools from the USNWR rankings. Each office has schools that it likes to hire from (example: DC likes to hire from GW for its Government Contracts group)."
