Regulatory Necessity
In 1965, Robert Kutak and Harold Rock opened the doors of Kutak Rock in Omaha with the goal of representing clients in an ever-changing regulatory landscape—at the time, this included new water and air pollution abatement requirements. For its first few years, the firm stayed local to Omaha but in the 1970s, expanded to include Denver, DC, and Atlanta. Today, the firm has more than 500 attorneys in offices across the country.
