ADUSA provides procurement, transportation, and distribution services for the Ahold Delhaize family of grocery stores, which include Food Lion, Stop & Shop, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, and Hannaford brands. ADUSA Distribution is the distribution arm of the company and the second part of the company’s self-distribution supply chain model—wherein companies purchase goods directly from farmers and manufacturers, store them on their own premises, and transport them to their own retail locations. In short, rather than relying on a middleman to provide shoppers with groceries, ADUSA allows Ahold Delhaize more control of its own supply chain.
