Altria is a tobacco company based in Richmond, Virginia. Founded in the early 1900s, the company was known as Phillip Morris until 2003, when it rebranded to Altria. It is one of the largest tobacco companies in the world, and several brands operate under its umbrella, including Phillip Morris USA, John Middleton Inc., and U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company. The company also owns minority stakes in JUUL, AB InBev (Anheuser-Busch), and Canadian cannabis operation Cronos Group. The company’s current CEO is Billy Gifford.
