Cox Enterprises is the holding company for three businesses: Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Media Group. Founded in 1898 by the later governor of Ohio and vice-presidential candidate James M. Cox, the company is still privately held by the Cox family and its descendants. Its current president and CEO is Alex Taylor, great-grandson of the founder. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and employs more than 50,000 people.

Cox Enterprises’ various services include broadband internet, cable, and news and radio channels. Some of Cox Enterprises’ most recognizable brands include Kelley Blue Book, Autotrader.com, Axios, Cox Homelife, Manheim Auctions, and Dealertrack.
