Intern Reviews

  • “The firm culture is amazing! It truly is a place that you can bring your whole self to work, and you won't feel like you're an outsider. There is a strong emphasis towards work/life balance; this is unheard of in consulting. At the end of the day, West Monroe invests in its people to ensure they are the best trained, doing work they find interesting, and do not burn out through overwork. As an intern I was expected to work 40 hours a week. Full time consultants maybe work 45 (more as you become a partner/director and are directly managing client relationships).”
  • “West Monroe has a very good work/life balance. During the day it's a lot of work, but I worked a consistent 40 hours a week, which I really appreciated. There were lots of company social events set up, which were a lot of fun.”
  • “My project managers and coworkers in my practice were very adamant that interns not work over 40 hours a week. Full-time employees definitely work overtime, but they emphasize their hours are flexible and to communicate if you are consistently overworked/stressed. Taking PTO is highly encouraged.”
  • “Everyone is so welcoming. I constantly heard the phrase, ‘life comes first’, and they truly stuck by that. They were more than understanding and were very flexible.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “The entire recruitment process was very quick, and I received an offer very soon after my final interview. The recruiting process is organized and streamlined, and the campus team is great.”
  • “The interview process was thorough but not stressful. I felt I was able to learn a lot about the company through the interview process.”
  • “Interviewers were very welcoming and helpful; didn't feel that the process was as strict as other processes I've been in. 3 Interviews: values, experience/technical, case.”
  • “Brief but thorough interview process. Not terribly difficult, but gave a great sense of company culture. Actually, the interview process was the reason I ended up taking the offer; they gave me an amazing picture of who I was going to work with and how I would feel on a day-to-day basis.”
