Intern Reviews
- “SoFi's attitude towards work/life balance, especially on my team, was that when you’re in during working hours, you’re expected to be doing work. However, they ask you to take a break in between as well. When you’re outside of working hours, they want you to be able to be off the grid and not have to worry about work. It’s a typical eight-hour workday, and overtime is discouraged.”
- “Work/life balance has been a beacon since starting my internship. If I need to take care of something, going hybrid or remote for the day is no issue. I worked 40 hours, and my start and end times varied based on my own schedule or priorities when meeting with dispersed employees. The culture in this company should be studied. Everyone from a customer service representative to C-suite executives take to Slack messages as welcomed communication and are happy to meet. This open and trusting culture has allowed me to run, not walk this summer.”
- “Very good culture overall, different teams have different cultures, good environment, normal hours.”
- “The company's culture and overall environment is super friendly and welcoming. Everyone was always excited to answer questions and willing to help. I was required to work 40 hours a week on a hybrid schedule.”
Getting Hired Here
- “I first had a phone screening, an interview with my current manager, and another interview with the assistant controller. The interview process was very smooth with mainly behavioral questions. It was very straightforward and there was a fast response rate for their decision.”
- “Consisted of three rounds of interviews—first with the HR, second with someone adjacent to your hiring manager, and third with the hiring manager who I believe makes the final decision. Interview was not difficult, and the interviewers were really easy to talk to.”
- “Interviews were a very positive experience, and I liked that I was able to meet the members of the team that I am on now.”
- “Recruiting team is very genuine and caring.”
