About the Program

CACI International offers its internship year-round, with the largest class of interns descending on the Reston, Virginia HQ in the summer. CACI’s primary client is the U.S. federal government, so students should have an interest in working on government contracts if they wish to apply. The summer internship lasts from between 10 and 12 weeks, allowing interns ample time to get familiar with the company and its culture.

Intern Reviews

  • “Everyone is very kind and always open to providing any help or advice. There were not as many women in the office, however, I never felt intimidated or scared because everyone was very kind. We had a 40-hour work week but were able to be flexible with the hours each day during the week according to what works best for us. They were also accommodating and made sure we took the most out of the experience. For example, my commute was long, so they offered me 2 days remote during the week. CACI was also very supportive of our personal plans for the summer, having a healthy work/life balance.”
  • “I work 40-hour weeks throughout the summer. The company has a great work-life balance, I am never pushed to do more for my job outside of those 40 hours. Additionally, the culture and environment are friendly and relaxed, but motivating. Everyone works hard and it motivates me to do my part as well.”
  • “The culture is very welcoming and relaxed. Hours are extremely flexible, and we are encouraged to split up our hours between days however we feel comfortable. We are expected to work no more than eight hours a day (no overtime included). The dress code is also extremely relaxed with many people wearing shorts and a T-shirt—which I would say is really nice for the majority of people.”
  • “Fantastic work environment, everyone is very supportive and always willing to help you out.  I never feel like I'm bothering someone if I ask them for help.”

Getting Hired Here

  • “The application process was very simple. Unlike many other opportunities, I was not asked to answer tons of written questions in the application, solve programming problems, or have multiple interview rounds. I had one interview that asked me questions about experiences with technical topics. It is difficult to gauge how selective my company's standards are, but I know everyone I've talked to thus far is motivated and talented.”
  • “My interview was one of the best I've ever had. My hiring manager was extremely easy to talk to. She did a great job engaging in an actual conversation about me instead of just clearly reading off a bulleted list and just writing down my answers. The onboarding process was also quite convenient.”
  • “I got the opportunity to speak with my manager and another engineer during the internship process.”
