Intern Reviews
- “Amazing firm culture with a collaborative, warm atmosphere and kind people. 40-hour hybrid work week with no overtime and a good attitude toward work/life balance.”
- “Aflac has been incredibly accommodating. I was required to work 40 hours a week. In the summer, some teams do ‘summer Fridays,’ where employees only work a half day and get the rest of the day to themselves.”
- “Aflac's culture was very personable and friendly. I feel that flexibility was very normalized, and it made it less intimidating to have changing needs throughout my internship.”
- “I worked 40-hour weeks, and the company culture is amazing. They really do care about their employees and offer a great work/life balance.”
Getting Hired Here
- “The hiring process was fairly simple for this internship. I attended a career fair at my university where I got lots of information about the internship and was able to apply. Then I was contacted by Aflac's University Recruiter where we had a brief interview about myself and my aspirations. Lastly, I had an interview with a large panel of actuaries where they asked about my experience and my background. I heard back fairly quickly that I had received an offer!”
- “Better communication and quicker responses/more transparency on the timeline could have been given.”
- “Process took very long. Applied in September, got my first interview in December. Then heard back about the second interview on February 29th. Interviewed in March and got the offer in late April.”
- “I thought the interview process was completely fair. I first met with a recruiter for a phone call and then proceeded to an interview with a panel of actuaries. I thought the questions were mostly based on my background and experiences, with a few questions about actuarial science.”
