Intern Reviews

  • “The general attitude towards work-life balance is amazing. Everyone is very understanding if a personal matter comes up or you need to leave a little early one day for personal reasons. The flexibility to work from home and in the office was also great. As is the ability to have flexible start and end dates.”

  • “I think that GE does a really good job at work/life balance for interns, but not for all positions.  When working in manufacturing, it is not an expectation to have any flexibility with your hours: you usually work the hours of first (or second/third) shift.”
  • “The company emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy work/life balance and focuses on ensuring the workplace is a safe, welcoming environment where everyone feels welcome and belonging. During each of my three rotations, I have worked as a full-time intern working 40 hours per week. I found this to be an extremely reasonable schedule, especially considering the environment and benefits.”
  • “Everyone you meet is super nice and willing to help you in any way possible. There is an option to make up missed hours virtually, and office conditions are satisfactory”
