Boston summers spend 10 weeks working directly with partners, counsel and associates in the Firm’s market-leading private equity or employment practices, gaining substantive work experience from their first week. By forming a network of people to support you, Weil ensures that all summers have the best possible experience and quickly become part of the Weil Family. &#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Over the following days, you will receive training on computer skills, library access, and research tools like Lexis and Westlaw, ensuring you have the support you need to succeed here at Weil. Boston summers &#160;receive practice-specific trainings as well as “best practices” seminars on how to collaborate with paralegals and attorney support assistants, among other topics.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;At the beginning of each week, the staffing partner will gauge your capacity for new projects. After ten weeks, you will have a strong sense of what your selected practice entails.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A typical day in the life:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After settling into the program, you will hit the cadence of what it means to be a Weil summer associate.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Your morning may start with an email from your staffing partner alerting you of an assignment.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You stop by a partner’s office to hear about the matter, and ask some questions. While working on the project, you reach out to an associate on the deal for clarification and further background documents or precedent.
