Smart. Focused. Done Right.® Since our founding in 1983, these are the words we have lived by. They serve as a reminder to every employee of our high standards and the expectations of our clients. It is this results-oriented focus that has earned us the trust and confidence of our clients and helped expand our business beyond the energy industry to include clients in entertainment, pharmaceuticals/healthcare, manufacturing, retail, the federal government, and many other industries.

Across our Energy and Corporate & Shared Services practice areas, we deliver a broad array of consulting services, ranging from strategic planning through implementation to improving operations, all led by the vision of our partners and the capabilities of our consultants.

We take pride in our close-knit, collaborative culture which is what differentiates us from other firms. We value our diverse workforce and operate as a true meritocracy, offering broad development opportunities for our consultants across practice areas. It’s no wonder we are continually recognized as a top-ranked consulting firm and place to work by Vault, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and Forbes Media, among others.

At ScottMadden, we are committed to corporate responsibility and all of its facets, including our people and community, our planet, and our governance as a firm. We are proud of what we have accomplished to date but recognize there is considerable work ahead. In 2020, we released our first Corporate Responsibility Report, which highlights the firm’s commitment to the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues that are most important to our stakeholders. Not only does ScottMadden ensure that our work in these areas align with the expectations of our internal and external stakeholders, we involve our stakeholders in the process to make a difference together. An example of this includes our firm’s carbon-neutral goal. For the third year in a row, ScottMadden’s Carbon Offsets Matching Program will allow employees and the firm to work together to offset carbon emissions related to travel and business operations. As we look ahead, ScottMadden strives to address new and increasingly complex ESG issues alongside our employees and stakeholders.

ScottMadden recognizes and values the uniqueness of each of our employees. The differences in our backgrounds, experiences, styles, and perspectives are part of what makes our firm exceptional, and we are committed to building and sustaining an environment that is diverse, collaborative, supportive, and fosters mutual respect and trust (for one another and our clients). Our Diversity & Inclusion Committee works throughout the year to ensure the firm is focused on attracting, supporting, and retaining a diverse workforce with a variety of thoughtful and intentional initiatives, events, and activities. Driving positive change is at the core of ScottMadden’s business, from the work that we do with our clients to the impact that our employees have in their communities through company-sponsored events and personal outreach efforts. Our “Spotlight” employees demonstrate both our diverse workforce and the varied interests and involvement of our employees.

Through our community engagement program, we partner with charities and non-profit organizations to make an impact in our local communities and nationwide. From building houses to collecting school supplies, our employees enthusiastically offer their time and talents to make a difference.

Career development is important at ScottMadden. Each year, consultants meet with their assigned sponsor to create a detailed personal development plan. On the first Friday of every month, sessions are held in all ScottMadden offices to discuss current industry topics or best-practice consulting techniques. In addition, more formal training for each consultant level is provided. To further our ongoing commitment to building the skillsets of our people, we offer LinkedIn Learning training courses, which can be customized to your interests and developmental goals, and monthly small group discussions with relevant presentations on topics of interest.
